BON IVER
The SiS Interview by Rusty Roberts
Since self-releasing his debut, For Emma, Forever Ago last year, Bon Iver has been gaining loads of press and mentions on blogs and in magazines alike. He's been acclaimed for his original music and performances that the Indiana based Jagjaguwar signed him and will be giving Emma a wide release this month.
In a continuing series of chats with Stranded in Stereo's Bands to Watch in 2008, we recently spoke with Bon Iver, aka, one man band extraordinaire Justin Vernon, as he touches on the subjects of life on the road and what he thinks about that TV On The Radio comparison.

SIS: We've just named you one of Stranded In Stereo's Bands to Watch in 2008. What is the first feeling or though that comes to mind?
JV: Whoa.
SIS: Who do you often find yourselves compared to, and do you like or dislike that comparison?
JV: TV On The Radio. I've only ever heard "Starig At The Sun" (from Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes,) but I like the comparson.
SIS: How do you plan on making 2008 better than 2007?
JV: By working harder and challenging everything twice as much as I did last year.
SIS: What is your favorite and least favorite thing about being on the road?
JV: My favorite thing is that I am out there and every night I play music for people. My least favorite thing would be that I am stripped of all personal mirror; it's as if there is no sense of actually living.
SIS: In 15 words or less, why should people buy your record?
JV: So that I can do this again.
